The LOMO ASTELE 70 Telescope is a versatile astronomical telescope, spotting scope and telephoto lens that is powerful, sharp and compact. It is a "star" performer at night, yet is equally at home with the birder, naturalist, whale watcher or target shooter. Its multi-coated, diffraction-limited, Maksutov Cassegrain optics boast nearly three inches of light-grasping aperture. The 37x magnification with standard 1 1/2" 25mm Plossl eyepiece gathers in the moons of Jupiter and rings of Saturn with ease. With addition of a 10mm eyepiece, the magnification increases to 93x with plenty of sharpness and contrast!
The 70mm primary mirror has 36% more "light grasp" than common 60mm achromatic refractor telescopes, and it renders the true, sparkling color that only a fine reflector telescope can offer.
The standard 90° star diagonal included with the telescope makes astronomical viewing comfortable for the observer. Simply add a 45° image erecting prism to convert the ASTELE 70™ into a superior quality spotting scope for birders, naturalists, whale watchers and target shooters. Its 5-meter close focus distance even makes it an excellent "butterfly watcher."
Just add an inexpensive camera adapter to transform your ASTELE 70™ into a 925mm telephoto lens for your single-lens reflex camera. It will record color like a $2,000apochromat! The 1/4"x20 screw socket fits any standard camera tripod, or select the German Equatorial Mount "S" with counterweights and slow-motion adjustments for best astronomical observation and astrophotography.
FREE A9503 Lens Shade for Astele™ 70 and A9527 Universal Photo Adapter are included.
