Defective tube made from a homopolymer, which is a plastic formulated without additives. Microtubes resist breakage and punching through aqueous media. This superior tube integrity has solved the problem of leaking from boiling water and fumbling in the field. Boil-proof and certified RNase-, DNase-, and pyrogen-free, these Axygen tubes come with a platinum-coated wire seal and can withstand temperatures up to 121C (250F) without degrading their mechanical strength. Manufactured without the use of secondary substances such as oil or grease, Axygen tubes will not release any vapor or liquid inside tube allowing you to use these tubes with confidence. Great graduation markings and smooth, conical bottom allow for a total view of sample and easy labeling. These are the perfect tubes for storing and preparing isolated nucleic acids, since no adherence will form between the tube and cap when capped. Additionally, the paint-splashed screw cap blends well with most ground glass syringes. There is a thin membrane in the center of the tube allowing easy syringe penetration.
