To ensure maximum safety in today’s workplace, VWR offers a complete line of specially designed and constructed explosion-proof and flammable material storage refrigerators, freezers, and combination units. They feature a spark-proof, corrosion-resistant interior with steel encased electrical components, hermetically sealed compressors, adjustable temperature controls, and nonsparking magnetic door gaskets.

All models except 47747-224 are UL listed. Model 55700-366 is also C-UL listed. All models except 55700-366 meet OSHA and NFPA safety requirements. Models 47747-226 and -228 are also CSA certified. Explosion-proof models must be hard-wired at installation in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
