Product Category Description:

Mills perform high speed grinding of samples from 20 to 50mL. Blade rotates at speeds up to 12,000rpm. Grinding chamber is closed during entire milling procedure to eliminate sample loss.

Chamber temperature, maintained by heat exchangers around housing, can be lowered by circulating cool water, methanol-dry-ice liquid, or liquid nitrogen. Mills feature 6.4mm (1/4") I.D. tubing connections on the cover and grinding chamber housing. The chamber is inside an aluminum housing with an epoxy finish and non-skid rubber feet. Conver and chamber assemblies are removable for autoclaving.

Ordering Information: Mills include 6-foot, 3-wire grounded cord and plug and one blade. Mill 48975-407 is complete with stainless-steel blade and grinding chamber, including 0 to 5 minute electrical timer with ON position for continuous operation. Mill 48975-429 is complete with a stainless-steel blade and grinding chamber, with momentary hold-down switch. Mill 48975-418 is complete with a hard, stellite-faced blade and grinding chamber and electrical timer.
