Grinder is equipped with a stainless steel blade that allows high-speed pulverizing of 20–50mL samples such as bauxite, limestone, bone, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, and comparable dry samples. Add dry ice to the grinding chamber to process softer samples. A two-position rocker switch provides pulse or continuous operation, and features a built-in safe operation indicator light that only glows when the mill is properly assembled. The 1/5hp (150W) motor is protected from a jammed blade by a resetable circuit breaker. Units feature nonskid rubber feet to protect benchtops. The grinding chamber can be disassembled from the base for simpler sample recovery and easy cleaning.

Accessory grinding chamber 97002-912 can decrease cross-contamination of conflicting samples and increase throughput. It is supplied ready to use, with top and bottom chamber halves and blade, and attaches directly to the grinding mill base.
