When you're out on the trail and want to take a in a particular view with a bit more detail, you'll be glad you brought along your hiking binoculars. But if you're still looking for that perfect binocular for outdoor viewing, take a look below. We selected a handful of our favorite binoculars for hiking. You might be wondering what features we felt were most important are. We mainly focused on size, weight, power and durability. If your hiking binocular is too large or heavy you'll have trouble hauling them for those many miles on the trails. Honestly, no one wants a cumbersome bino on the trails, even if they love the performance. The power of magnification on your trail binocular is also important. As the size is limited and you won't want to carry a tripod along as a stabilizer, you won't want them to have extremely high magnification, but too low and you won't see the detail you're looking for. We suggest binoculars with magnification between 7 and 10X. Any more powerful and you'll struggle to get a clear image.
