Labels are available in a variety of materials and styles for various applications and for use with the LABXPERT printer (see 80090-446 series). Freestanding labels do not wrap around themselves, providing a window to check liquid levels in vials. Short overlap labels wrap around themselves slightly for secure use in extreme conditions. Short-tail overlap labels feature a clear tail that overlaps the label slightly to secure label and provide a liquid level window while maintaining a low profile. The long-tail overlap labels feature a clear tail that extends over the text for additional solvent resistance and provides a window for checking liquid levels.
The FreezerBondz* material will adhere to a frozen or frosted surface without the need to scrape or dry the vial. To be sure the label stays secured to the vial when placed back into storage, it is recommended that the label slightly overlap itself. FreezerBondz material withstands liquid nitrogen to –196°C (–321°F), and can be used in freezers and autoclaves. The chemical-resistant polyester labels are ideal for slides, as they offer outstanding resistance to chemicals such as toluene, xylene, DMSO, ethanol, and IPA. Polyester labels can be used in freezers to –80°C (–112°F) and autoclaves to 121°C (250°F).
