The optional C-BO is a sophisticated Aplanatic condenser that can be used for both Oblique and Brightfield observation. It includes two interchangeable lenses—an N.A. 1.4 for high-power and oil immersion objectives, and an N.A. 0.3 for low-power objectives—as well as a graduated iris diaphragm and a swing-out filter holder. A turn of the knurled knob laterally shifts the iris diaphragm from the scope's optical axis. The graduated scale measures the shift from the Brightfield position to ±10mm with vernier accurate to 1mm. When ordered as an Upgrade Package (UP-B01), the C-BO comes in a wooden box. |
