Celestron AstroMaster 70 EQ Equatorial Refractor Telescope 21062 Product Info

Celestron AstroMaster 70 EQ Equatorial Refractor Telescope 21062 is aimage dual-purpose telescope that is great for both terrestrial and celestial viewing. The Astro Master 70 EQ Telescope by Celestron produces bright and clear images of the Moon and planets through the telescope 's Fully Coated Lens. The Refractor Telescope has a 70mm Lens, taking in enough light to see the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. Also, these Celestron Telescopes come with two eyepieces of 45X and 90X magnification, which can pull in objects both near and far away. Celestron AstroMaster 70 EQ Telescopes have an Equatorial Mount that allow the user to follow objects in the sky much easier than an Altazimuth (Alt-az) Mount. Equatorial mounts use a set of counterweights that balances the telescope as it moves, making the movement more smooth. This is also very effective in high magnifications, when the smallest nudge of the telescope will greatly affect the viewing area. In addition, these Celestron AstroMaster Telescopes are very child friendly with its Refractor design, making them easy to maintain and capable to withstand continuous use. These Telescopes come with a Tripod with 1.25" thick steel legs, providing a rigid and stable platform. These features of the Celestron AstroMaster 70 EQ Equatorial Refractor Telescope 21062 make it a great telescope for beginners and intermediate users.

Celestron AstroMaster 21062 Kit includes also Celestron Illustrated Star Map Atlas Sky Maps Chart with Deep Sky objects Reference Guide 93722. Celestron Sky Map #93722 is the ideal teaching guide for learning the night sky. You wouldn't set off on a road trip without a road map, and you don't need to try to navigate the night sky without a map either. Even if you already know your way around the major constellations, Celestron Sky Map can help you locate all kinds of fascinating objects, brought to you by Celestron.

Celestron AstroMaster 21062 Ultimate Kit includes Celestron AstroMaster 70 EQ Equatorial Refractor Telescope 21062, Celestron Illustrated Star Map Atlas Sky Maps Chart with Deep Sky objects Reference Guide 93722, and Meade 1.25 inch Super Plossl 6.4mm Eyepiece07170-02. Meade Series 4000 Super Plossl Eyepiece 1.25" - the finest in premium telescope eyepiece. This is our first telescope and for the price we were very impressed with the quality and overall feel. It seems much sturdier and well built than I expected.

Most Recent Review Celestron AstroMaster 70 EQ Equatorial Refractor Telescope 21062 by Legacy Reviewer, September 11, 2009
A good basic telescope. Do not expect to be seeing stars in great detail, but one can see the moon clearly. Pros: Ease of use, price, works well Cons: Needs larger viewing area/eyepiece
