Datacolor SpyderCube accelerates RAW processing by providing reliable, known references to set the white balance. The Datacolor Spyder Cube supplies spectrally neutral white and gray surfaces facing the primary and secondary lightsources, plus true black (using a black trap) and card black, and specular highlight capture. By using Data Color Spyder Cube under the same lighting conditions as your photos, you can optimally adjust all the photos in RAW conversion using the information the SpyderCube shot provides. Simply take one reference shot with DataColor SpyderCube Gray Card under the same lighting conditions, adjust, save as a preset and apply the light adjustments to the entire series of photographs.
DataColor knows that shooting in RAW mode gives you creative freedom, but processing a RAW file is often a long, trial-and-error operation. The DataColor SpyderCube Color Balance System accelerates RAW processing in providing references to set the white balance, exposure, black level and brightness right from the start. Simply take one reference shot with Data Color SpyderCube under the same light condition, adjust, save as preset and apply to the entire series. With this fully featured RAW calibration tool, you can be confident that your colors are accurate, your shadows and highlights are properly exposed, and your image is adjusted to the ideal density, regardless of the lighting conditions. The DataColor Spider Cube is spectrally neutral for ultimate control, is small enough to fit in your pocket or camera bag and gives you all the features needed to easily adjust your images in post-production. Easy enough for the advanced amateur and sophisticated enough for professionals.
The DataColor SpiderCube is made of ABS Cycoloy, a hybrid resin that is fade proof, extremely durable, and flame / shock resistant. In addition, colors are through-pigmented for durability, not just applied to the surface; colors are scientifically formulated to provide optimal color values, including an 18% gray which defines a new standard for spectral neutrality to provide accurate color balance under any light source. Three black faces on the bottom of this Datacolor Color Card give you a shadow reference, and a hole to the interior of the cube provides an absolute black reference under any lighting conditions. The cube can be stood on its corner thanks to a small bead, or suspended by the included cord.
