The FLIR Systems First Mate Thermal Night Vision Camera HM-224 is a compact, light weight, easy-to-use camera. The Flir Thermal Night Vision Image Processor allows you to see clearly and without hassel in complete darkness. Smoke and lightimage fog are not a problem for this portable camera. There is no need to port early; the Flir Night Vision Camerauses thermal imaging technology to allows you to see obstacles when others cannot. This camera stores still images on the SD card and can detect a man standing up to 1,800 ft (550m) away! It has a FOV of 24 ° x 18 °. The user interface includes an on/off/stand by switch and captures still images to the SD card. With a 2x E-Zoom and auto-adjust brightness, it is simple and fun to get a clear picture. The battery life is more than 5 hours and the Battery life in stand by is about 120 hours ( on NiMH batteries)! It is compatable in temperatures ranging from 32°F to 122°F, so it is perfect for pretty much anything Mother Nature throws at you.
