Use for site-specific separation of the GST affinity tag from proteins expressed with pGEX-T vectors. The enzyme is purified from bovine plasma and is functionally free of plasminogen, plasmin, and other clotting factors. It can be used either following affinity purification or while proteins are bound to glutathione separation media.

Unit Definition: One unit of enzyme cleaves >=90% of 100µg of a test GST fusion protein when incubated in PBS at 22° (72°F) for 16 hours.
