Nikon is one of the more popular brands of sports optics in the world.  Of course, many of us know them for their cameras as well as Nikon Binoculars, Nikon Rifle Scopes and Nikon Spotting Scopes, but the one thing they all have in common is an incredible value.  You’re going to get a lot of quality for a fair price with Nikon.  Their most popular hunting binoculars are in the Monarch series, with the Monarch 3 and Monarch 5 in the hands of hunters all over the world.  Well, with hunting seasons starting all over the country Nikon decided to sweeten the pot a little with Instant Savings!

If you buy any Nikon Monarch 3 or Monarch 5 Binocular between September 20 and November 20, 2012, you’ll receive $50 OFF!  And that’s instantaneous, so no need to worry about a mail-in rebate!  Considering the value already present in these binoculars, that’s a big chunk of change to save right now!

I included our video interview from SHOT Show last January where Nikon’s Jon LaCorte chatted with our Steve Ledin about these two lines of binoculars.  From the flip-down covers to the rugged bodies of these binoculars, there’s a lot of functional performance here, but it’s really the great lens and prism coatings that have helped make these binos so popular.  The Nikon Monarch 3 Binoculars have a silver alloy prism coatings, which you almost never see in a binocular at this price.  This coating will give you a very bright image, helping you hunt during the darker hours of dusk and dawn.  The Monarch 5s also have a great lens coating, with their dielectric coatings.  Again, you’re going to get a lot of light transmission through these binoculars that you won’t get elsewhere.

There are a few different models of Monarch Binoculars to choose from, though they all have 42mm objective lenses, which is large enough to gather plenty of light but not so large as to become bulky.  For the Monarch 3 Binos, you can choose from 8×42 or 10×42, and for the Monarch 5s you can choose from 8×42, 10×42 or 12×42 Binoculars.  That’s a fair bit of versatility, and they’ll all the size and power that’s necessary for hunting or birding.  Anything over 12x magnification and you’ll probably need a tripod to get a clear, stable view of your target.  When you’re on the move stalking deer or seeking out a fox, you need mobility, and Nikon Monarch Binoculars will keep you on the move and ready to switch to your rifle at a moment’s notice.

Nikon Monarch 3 and Monarch 5 Binoculars are one of the highest value binoculars in our store, and that value goes through the roof with the $50 savings you get through November 20, 2012.  Get the glass you need for hunting season now and SAVE!!!

I WOULD PURCHASE THIS IF IT ALSO HAD A RAIL SYSTEM SO i COULD ADD OTHER LIGHTS, OR A LASER TARGETING LIGHT.

Ok what is new Surefire has been making replacement forearms with lights for year for both Remington and Mossberg, problem is the cost low in being 300.00. You can get a replacement forearm with a rail and attach a 1 inch mount with a tac light a do the same thing. I set up 3 shotguns for what one would cost if I did a surefire replacement forearm.

That’s a great idea, and one we hope SureFire looks into as well! I will say this particular light is so ergonomic that an additional rail might make it too bulky, but there does seem to be room on the end for a rail. Maybe next years model will have further customization options.

This particular model and the intuitive and ergonomic design is what’s really new with the SureFire Mossberg Forend light. You certainly can buy a regular replacement forearm with a rail, but the great design on this light makes it much easier to turn on without changing your grip.
