Whether you hunt in low light/ no light or need to be able to see for other tactical reasons, night vision is a must. If you’re serious about seeing what moves in the night, there’s an OPMOD night vision device for you.

I own the Opmod GEN1 headmountable “Vega”. Your short description pretty much covers it up. I made from leather an side-eye-cover so no light bounces laterally in the eye that is looking into the monocular. The head mount after 1 hours of continous walking, becomes a little annoying, but occasionally taking off the chin-stabiliser takes away the crushed-head feeling. If moonlight is 40% or more, you are able to see far far away ahead. When 40% less moonshine, well, it’s a Gen1 use an infrared long range thrower.
Uses sooo little power, I have the original batteries, and I use it every 3rd day, and have it since 2 months.
It’s a nice little secret I like to carry along when camping out in the wilderness.
