Product Category Description:
Ideal for use with “to deliver” and “blowout” pipets. The easily readable, color LCD panel displays the battery level and the selected pipetting mode and speed. The five-position speed adjustment key is used to select the ideal pipetting speed. Aspiration and dispensing speeds can be selected independently. The pump can aspirate 50mL in less than seven seconds. The unit features a conical silicone adapter for a secure fit on all pipets and a hydrophobic 0.2µm PTFE membrane filter. The exact adjusting of the meniscus is responsible for correct results and the pipetus pipettor features a draining/dosing valve, operated by touch-sensitive buttons, which precisely controls these adjustments.
The battery charging function is microprocessor-controlled, which prevents the batteries from being overcharged, and eliminates the memory effect, which ensures that the battery will not remember its usual discharge point and superficially require a charge when it hits that point. Unit includes an inductive charging stand designed to keep the unit fully charged. The reusable, integral safety valve prevents any liquid from entering the handle and can easily be removed, cleaned, or if necessary replaced. The ergonomically designed handle is made of polyamide (nylon) 6. The nosepiece (without the filter) can be autoclaved at 121°C (250°F). The pump motor is low-noise and vibration-free.
