Bumpers are designed to fit on top of round, conical, or square conical tubes to protect against broken glass. The design of the bumpers assures that the top of the sample container will not fall on the sample if the clamp is removed. Resistance to breakage is high, and the capacity of the sample is not affected. The top of the bumper filled with noncorrosive, neoprene plug permits easy withdrawal of the sample without deforming the container neck. Snaplock ring holds the sample firmly in place without marring or deforming. A funnel allows the induction of a liquid or drop of liquid to the outside. The smooth, rounded mouth admits a wide range of samples without clogging or plugging. A single clamp distributes the weight of the bulb evenly over the entire surface without any side pressure or drag. A large handle on the outside of the cap allows the sample to be removed easily. The bulb is easily removed by turning the square upside down and then lifting it straight out onto the bench or sink.
