Now you can enjoy the ability to flip a switch to automatically align with an object in the sky, plus the impressive light gathering performance of an 8" Schmidt Cassegrain (SC) aperture telescope. Meade telescopes have long been famous for refined optical quality with advanced functionality features to make space observation a joy.

The Meade LS-8 SC LightSwitch telescope includes Auto Star III GOTO computer keypad loaded with over 100,00 objects which can be automatically centered and aligned on! This impressive telescope package also includes a Meade ECLIPS color CCD camera which allows you to capture images for impressive astrophotography that really stands out. The Meade LS8 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope 0810 03 12 also includes a automated tour function with Meade's Astronomer Inside multi-media guided tour of the night sky. You can choose between the Tonight's Best tour and based upon your location and time, you will see the best views available, along with detailed descriptions, facts and history in rich audio with the built in speaker and video if you connect to your TV or monitor (not included). You can also use the Astronomer Inside to select your favorite object and learn more about it!

With the Meade LS 8" 08100312, you get the power of an 8" f/10 (2000mm focal length) telescope with GPS telescope technology, magnetic north sensors, level sensors and a CCD camera to do all of the grunt work unlike with conventional telescopes; all you have to do is sit back and observe!
