Meade LX200GPS / LX400 ACF Telescopes Accessories Kit 07860 consists of Meade f/6.3 Focal Reducer Field Flattener, Meade 2x Series 5000 TeleXtender (1.25"), # 647 Meade 1.25" / 2" Flip Mirror System w/ UHTC, Meade Plossl 9mm Illuminated Reticle Eyepiece (1.25") with cord, Meade Variable Projection Camera Adapter (1.25") and Meade #895 Vibration Isolation Pads.

An important advancement in high-resolution focal reduction systems, Meade f/6.3 Focal Reducer / Field Flattener threads on to the rear cell of LX-400 ACF Series or LX200 Series Meade Telescopes (followed by Meade Off-Axis Guider, or T-Adapter) and reduces the telescope's focal ratio by a factor of 0.63 (f/10 telescopes are converted to f/6.3; f/6.3 telescopes are converted to f/4). Simultaneously, Meade Focal Reducer / Field Flattener 41mm-diameter lens system helps to flatten the field, significantly improving edge-of-field corrections. Meade f/6.3 Focal Reducer enables a reduction of photographic ex-posure times by about 50%, while producing an actual field diameter of 1.5" at the film plane.

Meade Series 5000 Ultra TX (TeleXtender) is an updated version of a Barlow lens. Meade 2 x TeleXtender (1.25") doubles the power of any eyepiece used with it, while maintaining the comfortable eye relief of longer focal length eyepieces.

Meade #644 Flip Mirror System (1.25" / 2") w/ UHTC is an essential accessory for CCD imaging. The basic function of Meade Flip Mirror System is to allow the CCD imager or astrophotographer to inspect, center, compose, and focus the telescopic image immediately prior to the (CCD or photographic) image being taken. Threaded to the rear cell of LX 200 / LX 400 ACF Meade Telescope, #647Meade Flip-Mirrors greatly facilitate these operations. You can also use Meade Flip Mirror System #647 for astrophotography with your 35mm camera body (with the appropriate T-Mount), which replaces the CCD imager at the rear of Meade Flip-Mirror System. Meade model 647 Flip-Mirror System (UHTC) includes 2" eyepiece holder and 1.25" eyepiece adapter permitting use of either 1.25" or 2" eyepieces.

Meade 9 mm Plossl Illuminated Reticle Eyepiece (1.25") offers micrometric x-y positioning controls which greatly facilitate locking onto the guide star: turn the finely-threaded controls and place the reticle's crossline pattern precisely at the desired position in the field. Meade 1.25" Plossl 9mm Illuminated Reticle Eyepiece Corded Model includes 6 ft. cord and connector for direct plug-in to the control panels of Meade LX200GPS, and Meade LX400ACF Telescopes. The upper (lens) section of Meade Illuminated Reticle Eyepiece rotates on a fine thread for precise diopter adjustment to the user's eye. Reticle pattern is a double crossline with two concentric circles. Red LED brightness control is effected from the telescope's hand controller or control panel.

Meade Variable Projection Camera Adapter allows you to attach a SLR camera to your Meade LX-200 Telescope or Meade LX-400 ACF Telescope. First, remove the eyepiece. Next, attach Meade Variable Projection Camera Adapter (1.25 ") where the eyepiece would normally be attached to the telescope , and screw in a T-mount adapter to the opposite end of the SLR camera adapter. Now you can attach your camera to the T-mount and you are ready to begin taking pictures.

Highly desirable in sensitive imaging applications, Meade #895 Vibration Isolation Pads reduce typical telescope - tripod vibration damping times to less than one second. Meade Isolation Pads fit between the bottom of the Tripod legs and the ground to isolate the Tripod from ground contact and soak up vibrations.
