Wow!

I'm really impressed with your reply regarding the Kowa Vs Steiner.

I currently own a damaged pair of Tasco Platinum

Used for Birding and boating.

Here's my requirements:
best warranty (Full replacement/repair in case of damage)
best image
durable

I've narrowed it down to:
Carsons 10x42mm Caribou
Celestron 8x40 OutLand LX Porro
Yukon Futurus 10x50 (it's got Mg coatings, so is this the best image?)
Oberwerk 10x50mm Wide-angle Waterproof

Thanks a bunch

Thank-you for your nice comment. Always glad to help.

For your use, I would definitely recommend a waterproof model. Of those you listed, that will include the Carsons, the Oberwerk and the Celestron.

Since you are going to get better optics with a porro than a non PC roof, we are down to the Oberwerk and the Celestron. Of these two, the Celestron has a better warranty - essentially a no-fault lifetime warranty. Eye relief and, especially, the close focus is also better on the Celestron. In that respect, it is a much better birding bino.

Hi

A PC roof prism usually means getting into the $200-300 price range for anything decent. Here are a few good choices.
