Have a set of binoculars now which says 372? feet for 1,000 yds. Would like to basically be able to see more detail from 40 feet away...kinda like being able to read a printed type written page from 40 feet away. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

Hi

That is field of view, not magnification and it is magnification that determines how much image enlargement you will get, not field of view. Look for the other numbers on your bino for magnification. The first bino number is magnification, i.e., 8 in 8x40
