Hi

Not the xp, since it is no longer made and, of course, it all depends on your crtiteria for winning. No binocular at any given price point scores best in all optical and mechnical categories. The bino market is far too compettive for that.

If you are talking resolution, all else equal, a larger objective offers better resolution and performance, but, of course all else is not quite equal. My first choice and one you do not list is the Carson XM, but in the HD, not the standard XM. I would rate it sharper than any of the others. otherwise I would go with the Monarch in an 8x42

If you really are looking for an 8x32, Pentax 8x32 SP or the ED glass version.

Since Monarch does not make an 8x32, a cheaper 8x32 would be Bushnell Excursion 8x32. The 8x36 Monarch will be similar. The 8x42 Monarch weighs almost the same, not much difference. View is similar.

If you find old Pentax models cheap, somewhere, most of them were OK. Not as good as SP.
