Spare parts for Bushnell Binoculars

Postby Vikki Sixx on Sun Apr 12, 2009 12:12 pm

Hi guys,

I am sitting with a small dilema here in deepest darkest South Africa.

I recently ordered myself a pair of Bushnell Legend 8x40 (camo version). I am very happy with the binocs and have had many hours of pure enjoyment out of them already. However, on a recent trip to a game reserve, I accidently dropped them and bent both the eye-pieces (they seem to be made of alluminuim) ... so now i need to buy some replacements and I can quite easily repair them myself.

I contacted the Bushnell representatives in South Africa and was told that they do not carry these spares and that I would have to send my binoculars to Germany to have them "assessed" and then "repaired" for a MINIMUM cost of around $80-$90 !!!! I looked on the US website an a pair of eye-pieces costs $7 !!!! Now that is a rip-off.

Does anyone know how I can order myself a set of eye-pieces for my Bushnell binoculars without going through the rubbish of going through all of this - and getting ripped off.

Many thanks
Victor

Sorry, those parts are not offered to dealers as items to sell to customers. Your only option to source these is through Bushnell.
