Excursion EX vs Excursion
After reading reviews, I think I am sold on the Bushnell Excursion 8x42 but I'd like to get the updated EX version for the better handling. However, I've noticed that a couple of people have had trouble with a defective diopter mechanism. I'll get the original Excursion if there's too much risk of it going bad while on vacation. Does anyone know if this is a consistent problem? Also, if you have experienced it, does it make the binocular inoperative or is it just a pain to keep readjusting it? Thanks!

Re: Excursion EX vs Excursion
Hi
We have had no reports on problems, but since we don't do repair ro service work, you may wish to check with Bushnell at (800) 423-3537 Depends on the nature of the defect as to how much impact it will have. If it is just a matter of the diopter not staying put, that can easily be solved with a piece of bike inner tube.
