For concert
Hello,
I will go to an indoor concert soon (the o2-arena in London), and I have terrible seats, so I'm looking for binoculars. Right now I'm thinking either Nikon Sportstar EX 8x25 or Nikon Sporter EX 8x42... I choose Sportstar because it's small, and have a wide field of view (which is good for concert), but then Sporter have a decent field of view, but bigger objective diameter, which yields a better view in the dark (I'm thinking the concert hall will be pretty dark)... So which of these should I choose...? Also the distance between the seats (in the video) and stage is roughly 30 meters.
Here a video of the o2 and the seats I probably will have:

Re: For concert
For concerts and for sports, especially ball games, you want a wide field. 7x and 8x work.
I rarly use mine for this use, but I have a Bushnell Excursion 8x28 I have used once.
Light is typically not an issue as the stage or field is lit.
The 42mm will get heavy to use after 15 minutes. Try 25mm-32mm.
Good luck.

Re: For concert
I agree - 8x is fine, but absolutely no need for a 42. Stay with 32mm or less for a second number.
