Hunting Binos
I hunt on the oregon coast. So I need binoculars that are very water and fog proof. I am considering 10 or 12x42s, or 10 or 12x50. I would say 95% of the time it is raining and foggy when I hunt. I also wear glasses andhave a budget of $1200 but may be able to put alittle more towards it if needed. What would you recommend?

Hi
Waterproof is nearly universal in binos these days, so it really boils down to optics and that will get you some excellent optics. However, I would not recommend a 12x. What little extra detail upu gain over a 10x - and it is minimal - is more than lost to image unsteadiness and reduced field of view. It is an everything to lose and nothing to gain scenario. Stay with a 10x or even an 8x.
In that price rnage, try a Meopta 10x50, Minox HG, or Pentax DCF ED
