focus problem....maybe

broblem with brigning focus together...i have a pair of steiner military -marine 8X30 ...i can focus each eye ok but when i bring to focus with both eyes the views will not come together. not a good explantion but the best i can do. is there any way to correct this. thank you.

Hi
If you are following the focusing procedure as described in your Steiner manual, the problem could be mis-collimation. In this case, the prisms are out of alignment, so they are basically not pointing forward to the same spot. In severe cases, this can cause double images, but often it just shows up as you describe. I would contact Steiner at (800) 257-7742
