Hello and congratulations for all the bino information.
I am between those 3 and really can't decide. Without taking into account their price, promos etc., which would you suggest? I need a really tough pair, since I have little kids, you know...
Mostly I want them for enjoying the view from my home roof, possible birdwatching, should I consider to go for a 12X or 16X, instead? (but then, in this price category I have to choose a poro, and I prefer a lighter roof prism).
The Pentax seems to have the best optics tech from these three particular models (not generally speaking), am I right?

Re: 10X42: Nikon Monarch VS Pentax DCF HRc VS Bushnell Legend HD
Pentax is certainly a reliable brand. have not had the HRc in hand lately. I think the Pentax build is a little better than Monarch.
Stay away from 16x. There are high powered models but they are mostly good for astronomy. If you live at the sea shore, for example, nature viewing best done with a scope.
