Hi all,
With the strong Aussie dollar almost at parity with $US I am keen to invest in some new glass (Binos & Spotter). I am looking for a 8x42 in a premium binocular for about the $1700US mark. I've been looking at the Swaro EL 8.5x42 but have read that this model is being discontinued. Should I wait and spend more on the EL HD? The Aussie dollar may have fallen by then putting such a purchase out of reach again.....
For what is available now, what is the best bino for that money?
Thanks

Yes, the EL is being repalced by the EL HD, which will be much more expensive. However, I would still not hesitate to grab the old EL,if you can still find one, as it is an excellent bino in its own right. Then, too, you can always go with an SLC
