Kowa Prominar Binocs
What's the consensus on the Kowa Genesis Prominar 8.5x44 and the 10.5x44 binocs. What are they comparable to optically? Thanks.

Re: Kowa Prominar Binocs
Hi
Great binos right up there with the Euro stuff as far as optics. The only negative and the only thing that has kept them from competing more with Zeiss, Swarovski and Leica has been the weight. 33 oz is on a par with the weight of binos back in the 90s, but most of the high end stuff with 42 or 44 mm objectives is under 30 oz these days. Otherwise a binocular that deserves a look.
