Dr. Teiss binoculars

Postby BeWyse on Thu Aug 19, 2010 8:02 am

Would anyone have info on an old pair of mini binoculars that do not fold? They are inscribed with "Dr. Teiss," "2 3/4 x," and "Germany." I originally thought it was Zeiss. They are painted in green enamel and the lenses are wrapped in leather. The approximate size is 3 1/4" across and 2 1/8" tall. An image can be found at:

You might try an antique collector, since that style is really an opera glass and some of those old opera glasses are still popular with the antique folks.

Thanks, I have tried that route and cannot find anyone familiar with them. Nothing on the internet so I was hoping someone here might know something.

Sorry to hear that, but, by all means, post, away and maybe we'll get lucky
