Glasses attachment / headgear?

Postby acaila_edhel on Mon Sep 12, 2011 9:03 am

Hello All,

I have gone through all the posts for the last year or so and haven't found anything dealing with what I'm looking for.

I just started helping out my local high school by filming football games. I find that from the press box where I film I have to watch for a while before I can see who made the tackle, so I'm always pausing and restarting the footage in order to get the name of the tackler into the audio. I usually just say the names when I start filming the next play. What could be very useful would be something that I could wear on my hat or attach to my glasses that would give me some minimal magnification (1X?) so that I can still see most of the field but can get a clearer look at the jersey numbers. I'm thinking of the glasses or hat mount since I need my hands to operate the camera mount and zooming mechanism.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Sam

Hi

We don't offer head mounted or glsses style binoculars, but I have seen them on the internet at Magnifying Aids or by doing a search on head mounted binoculars. Might give them a try.

By the way, 1x or 0x is the same thing - no magnification. For your needs, I would start at 3x or 4x or so as a minimum.
