what's better than the Pentax DCF SP 10x43?
Steven_L wrote:You can get significantly and obviously better performance from a variety of high end binocular manufacturers like Zeiss, Swarovski, and others, but that performance comes with a price. When you get to the price range of the Pentax, every small percentage increase in performance requires a deeper dig into the wallet. Top quality optics must be seen to be appreciated, they are unbelievable. The image stabilized binoculars are not gimmicks, either. They are awesome.
So not even the Vorex HD or Nikon Premier line yield noticeable results?
Steven_L wrote:Yes, you should see some better performance from those excellent binoculars, but in many cases you'll have to see the difference by direct comparison on an optical chart with the glasses steadied on a tripod. This is not how binoculars are used in the real world. The Pentax DCF SP binoculars are a real star in that price range.
Stated very well. Thank you
That being said, there's not a lot you could do with a $2.2k Swaro that you couldn't do with a set of SP's.....
