Hi,
Has anyone used this binocular under low light or at night? How does
this one compare to Nikon Monarch 8x36? Nighthunter costs twice as
much as Monarch so I'm wondering whether it is worth the money. Any
other binocular that will perform good at night? BTW, I don't want a huge
binocular. 8x30/36 seems like a good compromise.
Thanks,
JF

Hi
You won't notice a significant difference in low light performance between these two. On paper, the Steiner has an edge with its porro prisms design (porros are more light efficient), but the Nikon has larger objectives.
On the other hand, these are two different animals in terms of focusing and handling. I would make a choice based on these other features rather than low light performance.
