If you could provide a little more info, it would be helpful. What price range? What do you think your husband will use them for? Birding? Hunting? Boating? Astronomy?

Hi,

It's an anniversary gift & I think he will just use it for general purpose whenever we go for outting / site seeing ... nothing specific as such ... but I did quite a bit of study of digital binoculars from the last time that I visited this site ... I found out that Bushnell is one of the popular Brands & has a wide range of selection ... I checked out that bushnell currently has 2.1 MP Image View digital binocular ... I wanted to know is it a good choice to go for this selection ??... I am also waiting when Bushnell will release it's latest Image View Digital Binoculars with 3.1 MP resolution ... can u tell me if pictures are good if taken by digital binoculars??..... will the picture appear as we see thru the binocular ??... Will this be a wise decision .... both money wise & product wise??

Thanx,
Capri.

There is not a descent quality digital bino made, they are little more than a gimmick. Price is generally a very good indicator of quality when talking optics. How much do you want to spend?

Want to gift a binocular

Hi,

My first choice is Bushnell 8x30 Image View 3.1 MP USB Digital Binoculars .... I saw this prodcut in one of the sites.... but when I checked with the Bushnell official site this product is not listed there .... as far as cost is concerned this product is around $300 as per the quotation of that particular site .... I asked even the toll free num 888-263-0356 (opticsplanet)... even they did not have the product ... I am enclosing the site address http://www.digitalfotoclub.com/sc/produ ... =964597170 ... I know that this site quotes a higher rate than opticsplanet ... almost a difference of $41.5... for the 2.1 MP Image View digital Binoculars... but I am still unable to decide that is this site giving me a fake info or a correct info ??..... if this info is correct ... then will the 3.1 MP camera give a clearer picture of what I see thru the binoculars...

Does any one know how to get the info of the upcoming products of Bushnell (specially the Bushnell 8x30 Image View 3.1 MP USB Digital Binoculars ) ...?

Can anybody help me on this??

Thank You,
Capri.

You are barking up the wrong tree with the digital camera. The image that you see through the binos is not the same magnification that the photo will be. Go look at one and have them show you how the picture actually turns out. You will not like it.

I have checked out in the net ... they haven't shown the pictures... If this is the case then y spend so much money ... I can just get a plain binocular ... & that will come within $100 ....

The best thing you can do is go to a store and look at them in person. The bino portion of the digital binos does not act as a camera lense. Thus, the picture is not magnified anymore than say what you get with a disposable camera. So even if you can see something well with the binos at say 100 yards, that item will only be a distant speck in your photos. Look for a descent 8x32 0r 33 offering from someone like Minox or the Pentax SP. These are very good mid-priced binos that will last a lifetime.

Hi,

I had a chance to actually see the results of the Bhusnell digital binoculars... (the one mentioned in my earlier messages)... we do not get the best of any ... neither the binocular nor the digital camera ... So I have dropped the idea of buying them...

Thanx for every help & response for this post.

Thank You,
Capri.
