Nikon 10 X 50 Action Extreme

Postby grc225 on Mon Dec 11, 2006 1:44 pm

Joanie you recommended the Action Extreme Binos to me earlier this year
for a general purpose Binoculars....Not so much birding as scanning the distance for other wildlife.
I think I can get myself a Xmas present, are they still a good option? :?:

Hi

Absolutely. Still one of the best buys under $200 in a binocular.

I got the Nikon Action Extreme 8x40 from these guys, you can not go wrong with this model, but if you scan the distance a little longer you should get the 8x40 because of view stability, weight etc.

I had the opportunity to try some 7...8 ...10 and 12X glasses this summer and I felt the 10X was just the ticket for my use....I hope I am not making a mistake.......I have them in the cart but I have not entered the info yet.

Hi

10x is entirely reasonable for a handheld bino. Absolutely no reason not to go with a 10x if you like it.

Hmm... wish I had read this before I placed the order a few hours ago. It would be great if this site could indicate item availability before or during the order process.

Well, I received email that it's been shipped, though it's Sunday. Hope that's really the case and not just some kind of glitch...

Well I never got an Email.....but I recieved the Binoculars today and I am well satisfied.

Does anyone know where the serial number is located so I can write it down?
The Warranty card says I need to write down the number but I can not find the number.

Hi

The serial number, if there is one, is on the warranty card, but not all Nikon binos are supplied with a serial number. If you have a warranty issue, you just mail that warranty card in with the binocular. No need to register the warranty.

Hi

From what I understand, with over 100 000 items on the website, and thousands of items going off the shelf, every day, that is simply a logistical nightmare. Good idea to contact OP if you have concerns about availability.
