I'm not familiar with this brand. I was told they used to be division of Leica. When I compare stats (on paper), they seem comparable to the Swaro EL's (ie, twilight factor seems to be very close as does field of view for roughly half the price).
Would this be a good all around binoc? I'v looked at Swaro's, Stiener, Nikon, & they seem nice for the price.
Also, any thoughts on Argon filled vs Nitrogen? I know they are both inert gases, but that's about it.
Any and all comments welcome from pros, amateurs and end users!
The Minox are very good binos and can be considered a best buy when compared to other binos. They are not as good as Swaro ELs but they cost half as much. Minox gives you 90+% of what the top of the line offers at 50% of the cost. Unless you are prepared to spend the big bucks, I think most people are best served with binos in this price/quality point. Comparable binos can be had from Kahle and Docter. I have recently seen the Minox being offered in a package deal with a free digital camera. I like these binos enough that I gave a pair to my best friend of 30yrs.
