LaserLyte Carbine Green Laser System K-15

Can anyone tell me a little more about this product LaserLyte Carbine Green Laser System K-15? would you typically mount the laser on the top sude on the rail? Is it offset so one can still use the front site?

I can go in back of the front sight. The laser projects along the side of the front sight, and does not affect the use of the front sight on an AR type gun.
