Red Dot for Ruger Ranch Rifle

Would you put a red dot on a Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle (series 581)? I am hunting feral pigs in Texas, and most shots are 100 yds. or less. What model/brand would you suggest (I have a $100 or less budget right now). What MOA? Thanks in advance for the info.

Spend $115.00 and you don't have to change your rings. Use one of the few one inch tubed sights like the ADCO and save the cost of the rings. The ADCO Alpha Dot will be just the ticket.
