I have looked thru the online offering from here (and others) and see many red dot sites:

they all look physically identical, with the same features and the only real difference is the packaging and the branding.

Is there really a difference between them and is one worth the pricing premium vs another?

A caliber's recoil can very much so effect a red dot. Being that you are mounting it on a 22 LR you will not run into that issue. Any of those sights should work for you. It is important to be mindful of the style of mount on the sight. Whether is be a 3/8'' dovetail or a standard Weaver mount. I personally prefer the Tasco Red Dot or a little higher up, the Propoint.
