On the Eotech XPS 2-0 model without the night vision setting. You can either use the up or down arrows to turn the unit on and that affects the auto shut off. When you use the up arrow does that start at a lower brightness setting and when you use the down arrow does that start at a higher brightness setting.

The sight comes on at setting 12 regardless of what button is pushed. If you turn it on with the up button it will shut off at 8 hours. If you turn it on with the down button it shuts off after 4 hours.
