I just purchased my first AR and I am looking for suggestions regarding optics. Would like something for long range (300-400yds)as well as up close and personal. If I need 2 sets of optics, that's ok. Looking for more up close and personal first. Budget is up to $400 right now. Been looking at Burris fast fire, what is ya'lls experience with this red dot? any other suggestions??
Take a look at the m223 series from Nikon. These are designed for an AR platform and would work great for you. For close shooting and then reaching out to 300-400 yards the 1-4x20 would be a good choice. A 1x magnification is perfect for close quarter shooting and 4x can certainly reach out there. They also have a 2-8x32 that would help your eye out a little more for those longer shots.
