Red Dot Scope for S&W 460 for deer hunting

Postby jojusewell on Mon Oct 23, 2006 9:58 am

I have an S&W 460 XVR with a 10 1/2" barrell and Weaver rail. I put a
red dot scope on it but the recoil was too much for the scope. Can you
recommend a red dot scope that's not too expensive and would work well
with this hand cannon? Would this ATN Compact Digital Reflex Sight
work?

Appreciate any help you can give me on this. Hope to use the gun for
deer hunting starting 11/1/06. I'd gladly take your advice.

John.

Hi

The most durable red dot we carry is the EOTech HOLOgraphic Weapon Sight, but I can't recommend any red dot as a sure thing for that cartridge. I'd go with a quality 2x conventional pistol scope, instead, such as the Leupold FX-II 2x20mm Handgun Rifle Scope.
