Bushnell Holosight 52-001 AA version

Does anyone know why they quit making this version? It seems the AA would be cheaper and if Eotech makes the sight technically the AA's should last longer in this sight also. I don't know can anyone answer this for me?

Hi

Can't say for sure, of course, why Bushnell dropped it, but it may have been to make way for the new XLP, http://www.opticsplanet.com/bushnell-ho ... scope.html which is smaller overall and uses AAA batteries.

If you want something closer to the original that uses AAs, you'll need to step up to the EOTech 512A65. Of course, you also get other improvements with the EOTech such as an extra metal shield and better sealing of the switch mechanism. That's why it is more expensive.
