Red Dot Scope for the AR-15 Rifle

Postby sgtpeg on Fri Dec 29, 2006 9:13 pm

Please recommend a red dot scope for AR-15 rifle to be used in I.P.S.C. competition (not rough-I"m handicapped) in the $50 to $125 range. Accuracy important.

Hi

The Tasco Propoint is your best red dot for the dollar and has been around a long time. Well proven product.

If you plan to mount it to a flat top (picatinny rail) without the carry handle attached, you will need a riser to put the sight high enough to clear the iron sights and also to put it in a position to comfortably see when your face is on the stock. Try the B-Square, 15100 (we don't urrently offer this one) then attach the red dot.

If you plan to mount the sight on the carry handle and not use the iron sights, try the B-square Modern Military Rifle Scope Mounts (supplies rings you won't need, but it works). If you want to mount the red dot on the carry handle and have access to the iron sights, try the EOTech holographic mounts for M16/AR15.
