BSquare mounts and Red Dot Scopes - Good or Bad Combination?

Postby mpalmer on Sat Aug 25, 2007 8:39 pm

I have reviewed the numerous reviews as well as other web sites, but still are unable to make a decision. I have a Remington 1100 12 ga. and need to improve my accuracy. Can B Square mounts and Red Dot Scopes really work well together? I have heard both sides, but am most concerned about the inability of this combination being able to withstand the recoil of a 12 ga. Are they stable? Can you direct me to a good published review which supports this? Also, it is difficult to determine from these reviews which Red Dot performs best. I am looking at spending < $100 for the Red Dot. Can you make a recommendation? Is there a good published review on which rates highest?

Thanks for your input....

I don't know about reviews. The B-Square mounts work well, and I wouldn't use less than a Tasco PDP2 for a red dot. This combination works and is not conjecture. They've been working for 20 years. A couple of my saddle mount Remingtons get sub-3 inch groups with a scope.
