I just bought this scope, ATTENTION!! Don't buy rings, ATN includes them!
I thought ATN was an American company with manufacture in the US, but the country of origin is Ukraine. This may prove to be OK, since the finest opitical silica media is from the Black Sea region. The optics seem pretty decent, but with the scope lit, there's quite a bit of 'flare' around the edges, so I primarily keep the scope lighted reticle off. I noticed the scope was about 4" off center, quite a bit, which may or may not be an indication of quality. The bullet drop compensator moves the reticle up or down, and I've only had about 3 hours and 300 rounds to run thru a brand new AR-15 top end with a Wilson button forged barrel (16"). I'll probably have a better idea of how well the scope holds up after taking a rifle course at Front Sight in Nevada, and to use the ranging feature as well. Distance is tough to guess in the desert, distances are misleading, so the scope should come in handy out there, as we'll be shooting at unmarked distances out to 400 yards. So far, seems like a good deal for the money, especially since it's on sale for $275.

Sir,

Thank you for your comments. ATN Corp. is an American company, we do own an optics factory in the Ukraine were we produce components such as Glass and Bodies. The Final Assembly happens in the US.

Regarding the "Flare" the illuminated reticle should be used in low light conditions and not during the day time. This is why you are experiencing the "Flare".

I didn't understand what you meant by that the scope was 4' off center. Is it sitting on your weapon of center, or is it shooting 4" off center.

If you do have problems and need to reach us, you can always give our customer service a call and we will be happy to answer all of your questions and concerns.

Best regards,
