sun observing?

i have the ds-2080 telescope and i also have the 902 camera eye piece...would it mess anything up if i point it at the sun and if i do will i see any details??...i know not to look in the scope directly...thank you

Hi

Not recommended. Without a solar filter on the fornt of the scoppe, you risk damaging the optical elements in the scope. Moreover, if you are trying to see solar detail, you won't see anything without a filter, anyway. You need a filter, not only to reduce the light, but to filter out the correct wavelngths.

so you all have a filter for my telescope...if not where can i get one?
