HOW IS THE NEW CELETRON New [NEXSTAR 8i ]?
AS FAR AS ITS ABILITY TO WORK WELL WITH DEEP SKY OBJECTS AND PLANETS? ALSO HOW GOOD IS IT FOR ASTROPHATOGRAPHY?

Hi

An 8" SCT such as the Celestron 8i is about as all-purpose as a telescope can get. It will do a good job on both planets and deep-sky objects. It will also work for astrophotography. It's only shortcoming is its single arm mount. This type of mount will not be as steady as a fork mount at high magnifications and will not support as much weight or track as well for astrophotography.
