Bushell Northstar

I am new to astronomy & recently purchased a Bushell Northstar telescope, which has a computerised handset.
The instructions tell me to align the telescope to Northstar 1 when using for the first time. The display keeps coming up Northstar 2 and cannot automatically find the moon or the planets. I would be grateful for any advice.

This is not unusual for the Bushnell Northstar computer. We really don't have resources to troubleshoot the Northstar computer, but there is a lot of info and discussion available from other Northstar users. See the recent post, for instance, at Bushnell Northstar 127mm Manual by Lock
