hello I was wondering if anyone had built a portable laser range finder, I am just looking for a project to build and this has grabbed my interest

Hi,

Take a look at the OptiLogic Industrial Laser Rangefinders. These are already built as a laser rangefinder, but it's up to you to customize it to your application. Not quite a build your own, but it's the closest we can offer.
